I like the new header, but I think perhaps you should carry the black down to flank the sidebar and posts. Perhaps. It looks a little peculiar with just the black at the top, and it would set your posts off more if the black continued.
Q, there's not a blue that matches the title...and this is plenty of maroon for me. I tried a whole bunch of different colors, and couldn't find any I liked. :/ But I'm still messing around a bit...

I think your title still works. Even in film, there's a sound stage, and a staging area--right?
